I want to drop a LSX 454 in my camaro It is a 454 C.I. motor and is rated at 620 HP But has made a lot more, Now it is a cast iron bloc but it has 6 bolts per cylinder and uses the lsx7 Head's.
LSX 454 Crate Engine An engine with 454 cubic inches will always be assosiated with higher performance Chvys, and that tradition continues with the all new LSX454 crate engine. We started with the new LSX bowtie block, stuffed it with an all-forged, super tough rotating assembly, bolted on a pair of our new deep breathing LSX six-bolt cylinder heads and topped of the combination with a high rise intake & four barrel induction system. The new LSX six bolt cylinder heads are based on the race-derived LS7 heads that help deliver more than 500 horsepower in the Corvette Z06. They enable tremendous low end torque and great high RPm power. The LSX 454 is delivered in deluxe form, so you get everything from the carburetor to the water pump (oil pan not included). It also comes dressed with great looking, all new orange powder-coated valve covers with 'LSX 454" logos engraved and painted in black. Note: Oil pan and oil pump pickup are not included. LSX valve covers do not have coil mount provisions, coils will need to be relocated LSX454 Specifications * Engine type - LSX series Gen IV small block V8 * Displacement - 454 CID (7.4L) * Bore & Stroke - 4.185" X 4.125" (106.3mm X 104.8mm) * Block - 19243172 LSX cast iron block with cross bolted 6 bolt main caps * Crankshaft - 19170391 Forged steel * Pistons - 19166958 Forged aluminum * Camshaft - Hydraulic roller - .635" / .635", 236 / 246 duration @ .050" * Cylinder heads - 19201806 Aluminum LSX- LS7 port with 70cc chambers * Valve size - 2.20" titanium intake, 1.61" exhaust * Compression ratio - 11.0:1 * Rocker arms - 1.8:1 aluminum roller trunion * Reccomended fuel - 92 octane * Reluctor wheel - 58X Note- Does not include intake, carb, oil pan, oil pump pickup, ignition or front accessories |
