You can time the Helllcat lap by looking at the time signatures. 0:13 and 1:51 =~1:38 sec lap. The ZL1 does it in 1:33 sec. Both videos on post 1213

Someone needs to share this on a Challenger site: YOU'VE BEEN CHALLENGED!
I'd pay to see that

That was one BADASST Buick!

You know a car company did something right when mods here start closing/ merging/ and deleting threads/ posts that are about said new car.

So a nicely optioned auto car is around $65K minus some of the goofy options.

I wonder what late availability means in months. Seems the seats and B5 blue I want are both late availability.

Production is slated for 3rd quarter. Late avail means it will be Q1 or Q2, basically a spring special color.

Well, one good thing is by then some of the hysteria will have died down and you might be able to get a deal. You can always order it sooner and get an earlier build sequence number too.

When you order a car. The window sticker will have your name on it. Also you will often find cool personal touches hidden in the car like line workers signatures and such. This was under my fuse box. B.B. is Brampton Builder on the Challenger Forums. The battery and a few other places had neat little touches like that.

Obviously not as awesome as build your own engine experience or museum delivery, but fun nonetheless.

Is there any reason you didn't use the second lap? Looks to be a 1:33 (1:51-3:24). You've also got to remember that there is a passenger along for the ride..

Also, if you want to really compare both videos, it may be best to use the same starting point. The second lap, the hellcat runs around a 1:32 (1:58-3:30)

Also good point on the msrp. I've never seen a '13-14 GT500 sell new at $55K. most were in the low 60's.
This is the best argument ever.

Even though a car can be purchased for 55K, that's not the price we'll use when comparing value because most have more options.

I made the observation watching on my iPhone while waiting to pick up my wife at the airport cell phone parking lot. I was interested to see how the Hellcat handle the turns and was surprised by the 5s differential but did't see the occasional hand movement of a passenger or look beyond the first lap. (Expected Dodge to put the best first)

The significance of the first lap to me was no deeper than it was the first lap. I like data so the glamor shots are getting old.
