Powertrain warranty cover oil system?
Hi,
I have a 2010 Camaro ss m6 with 20,000 miles on it. Will the gm powertrain warranty fix the Low oil pressure problem I'm getting? On a recent startup I noticed the low oil pressure gauge went to zero and the low oil pressure bulletin poped up on the screen. I was at a shopping center so I started to back out and reved the motor to 2k and the oil pressure display went away and oil pressure was around 17 psi at idle and around high 50s to 60ish at 3k rpm. Started up again in the garage same issue. Thinking about taking it to a shop but if the powertrain warranty would cover it I would rather go to the dealer. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Well, it's hard to say without knowing what the cause of the low pressure is. If it's a sensor or wiring or the gage itself, I doubt it. If the cause is internal, the power train warrenty should cover it.
