This isn't true.
Example 60 base (engine off pump on)
Manifold is at 20inhg roughly 10psi
Regulator drops pressure to 50 to achieve an effective pressure (or differential pressure) of 60.

Without vacuum reference effective pressure would be 70 psi. This results in shorter pulse widths.

I originally wrote about vacuum affecting it too but that's when I started confusing myself and made the generic statement.

But, yes, you are correct Sir!

The FPR just sets the pressure between the fuel pump and the inlet side of the injectors. The FPR's job is to regulate fuel flow to maintain the pressure you've set it to. Boost reference (which is also a vacuum reference, yes) changes the pressure setting up and down in order to maintain that 60psi differential across the injectors.

If you set your pressure to 60psi and then make 60psi of boost your injectors will flow zero fuel unless it's boost referenced.

Ok so the fore has like a million options. What is the difference as far as all the controllers delphi connectors, pressure switches and stuff. Is the squash as good or would i have to add stuff? I plan on running a boost controller. Im thinking i should just talk to late model racecraft cause that is probably who will tune it. I am very close to lethal racing but have been very let down by them lately with my truck and DEFINATELY wouldnt bring this to them.

To wire the Squash system you just buy the wiring harness, which is plug and play. If you choose the Hobbs switch it comes with a harness for it to plug into the harness. If you choose a plumbing kit there is absolutely zero that you need to seek out and buy. The only thing that isn't included is a fuel pressure gauge.

All you have to do is call justin@fore or any fore dealer and they can tell you about the different options.

Can't go wrong with squash or fore. Both make top notch products.

Build the best fuel system you can especially if you're going twins. One day you might want to turn it up and you'll need that fuel system.

So can the Squash system support a 250 shot of wet nitrous (direct port via 2 sets of inlet rails)on top of 800-900 rwhp through a TVS2300? 417 Stroker could follow this, so looking for growth potential too.

That shouldn't be a problem.
