I love with Chevy New Concept

What do you guys and girls think. i want it as a daily driver. but it would be even sicker with a new LS Camaro Drivetrain

Inspired by iconic sports car legends like the BMW 2002 and Datsun 510, the Chevrolet Code 130R Concept is one of Chevy's most daring concept cars in recent memory. Based on the new Alpha rear-wheel drive platform underpinning the Cadillac ATS (yes, seriously), Code 130R rides on a long 109-inch wheelbase (just shorter than the new BMW 3 Series) with short overhangs.

A traditional three-box design, the Code 130 features an upright greenhouse and beefy fender flares. Under the hood is a tuned-up direct-injection 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 150 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque, 12 more horsepower than current applications. It's been fitted with GM's eAssist electric assist system that supplements engine power, performs regenerative braking and allows for engine auto start/stop.

The concept drives its matte gold 20-inch wheels through a six-speed automatic or manual and Chevrolet thinks it could get 40 mpg on the highway.

“Young customers tell us they want functionality with coupe-like aesthetics. Both the Code and Tru body styles resonated with this audience,” said Frank Saucedo, director of the GM North America Advanced Design studio in Los Angeles where the two concepts were developed.

Chevrolet estimates Code 130R and Tru140S can achieve 40 mpg on the highway, and hopes to integrate WiFi, MyLink, and heads-up display into the concepts for further functionality. But perhaps young consumers’ most wishful thinking is that both concepts, shall they ever see production

Old news, but still nice to see it again... it would be a real go-cart with an LS3

I like the looks of it. It could have real potential if GM executes and keeps the weight down better than with the Solstice. It needs something better than the turbo 1.4L to be taken seriously as a sports car, though.

Im sure it will have the 2.0 turbo if it ever comes to production ala since it will be on the same platform as a ATS

Put a Camaro nose on it and the current lineup of engines (along with the turbo Ecotech) and you got an ideal low weight 6th Gen car.

A few folks have photoshopped the 130R into an acceptable 6th gen Camaro. But as it is right now? Not happening.
