The 1LE will remain the 'affordable' track-day option for those that want to drive their car everyday. I'm most likely going to get one since I doubt I'll be able to afford a Z28. At ~$40k its relatively achievable, and I like the fact that it has a stereo. 😄

I rather the z/28 . Not really big on the magnetic ride , I rather coil overs and the ls7 . That's my opinion

Incredible! This thing is awesome but it's probably going to be a bear to use as a daily driver. As atrack car absolutely incredible! It's like a 1LE + 11.
I still don't regret getting my 1LE this past Tuesday. This thing is going to have to be out of "MY" price range. You take what amounts to a $45K car and add Ceramic Brembos and an LS7. It's gonna rightfully be exspensive. IIRC the Brembos on a ZR1 Corvette were stated to be like $15K and we know how much an LS7 cost. Then they added carbon fiber. I can't afford it. I wouldn't mind owning it though. All in all (with the exception of the hood and tail end) I think it's an INCREDIBLE car. |

I was actually clapping watching the NY autoshow video. Glad I was alone!
The car is pretty much what many of the regulars in the Z/28 threads were wishing on. Good for them! And Chevy! When people were guessing about what the "styling and performance" upgrads for the 2014 were going to be, I thought about ceramic brakes and a increase in hp for the ZL1. Hmmmmm, I wonder... Though, that would probably put the ZL1 back on top of the cost list (if the "most expensive Camaros" magazine quote is true). I guess we'll know soon... GREAT car! It will definitely fill the void for those that wanted a true track ready Z/28. Oh, and I was wondering how much the C7 seats were and if they would fit in the Camaros (airbags, heating = Camaro like). Now, they have these Recaros!!!

AGain, So so glad I pulled the trigger on my '13 AGM ZL1 !!!!!
This is my opinion only.... please don't criticize as this represents my likes and dislikes. Everyone thinks differently... Z/28 PROS: I like the wheels, but they are 1" smaller than ZL1 CONS: 1. You have to pay extra for A/C, Wtf, okay.... how much more? 2. Only 1 Speaker, wtf? 3. Manual adjusted front seats, again wtf 4. No HID or FOG lamps 5. Yes, tail lights do suck 6. Yes, hood has a dryer vent installed -it also sucks 7. No seat back pass through, this is actually a very nice feature 8. Interior sound damping mtl removed; so now you also hear the highway I seriously doubt the sunroof and Nav will be an option |
