Wow this is fantastic all of the response this SSX is getting! Let us get caught up a little bit on work after SEMA and hopefully we can start filling in some blanks for people.

Yes, as you would assume, the Z06X is also part of the projects GM contacted us about. All great things at Pfadt!

In regards to the wheels, rumor is they are going to be OEM on a 2011 model. BUT, with that said, I could not get anyone to confirm it so at this point it is purely speculation.

When you say after SEMA do you mean 5 minutes after it ends? Like 4:05pm tomorrow you can spill the beans!

Oh, its not that we can't spill the beans, its just we are in mega-SEMA gear and have limited capacity to monitor all the great threads that spawned from everything announced recently!

Trust me we will all have plenty to discuss once we get back in the office on monday!

So, found out a little more info on the Gran Turismo Award! Read below (cited from Playstation Blog

"The Gran Turismo Awards at SEMA recognizes the best vehicles in five different categories: Best Hot Rod, Best Asian Import, Best European Import, Best Domestic Automobile, and Best Truck/SUV. After the five category winners are judged, one winner from each category is selected on performance and style by leading automotive media. From there, it falls to Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi to select the overall GT Awards “Best in Show” winner. Walking the show floor, Kazunori-san views each of the category winners and selects a vehicle that best represents the Gran Turismo brand; one that will be immortalized as a fully playable part of the Gran Turismo franchise for millions of fans around the world."

Man, we are going to have to find out which car got the ultimate prize!

This is just a short video that highlights Dr. Jamie Meyer from General Motors Performance Parts, discussing with Aaron Pfadt, the implications of the Camaro SSX and the Corvette Z06X race cars.

I apologize for the poor audio quality, the background noise is overwhelming in the SEMA main hall. But its worth taking a peek as to the future for GMPP and Pfadt being the sole manufacture for suspension performance packages. It is very clear that this is but a small step in the big picture!

What kind of wing is that on both cars? I'm really digging the look.

PS: Best looking z06 I've seen

We looked it over pretty closely at SEMA and it has a lot of carbon fiber bits in addition to the wing. I suspect they all were sourced from one place but I never saw anything to indicate who it was.
