Yeah I was thinking the 1200 sounded about right for you.

Love the basic setup... Yeah you need to be forged! end of subject there.
Also you are right at the edge of the limits on the LPE twin set up and probably should be looking for a return system as well. Injectors.. nuff said.
Did not see if you had modified the fuel rail either. When getting into issues on 5 and 7 there is the chance that you were out of fuel at the end of the line anyway. I would have assumed the duty cycle when you had it tuned should have shown the injector problems long ago..But you have the right attitude about all of this. I have 7 good stock cylinders if you want them..lol
Been there done that as well. You my friend have joined a distinct club of piston crushers!

Yea, crunching the numbers the 1200s can go all the way up to 1400 to the crank. I dont think i will exceed 1200 to the crank with my setup even with the F1X. This is assuming the fuel pressure is 58 PSI. this is what i plugged into the calculator. I remember my ultra gauge would always read about 58 psi or 400KPA

Fuel rail not modded. I knew the motor was on borrowed time which is why my LSX was started over 6 weeks ago. this motor lived for over 4000 miles at 637RWHP and about 2200 miles at 715rwhp. I really beat on it hard the last 6 weeks, mainly testing out the new drive train components (Gforce 35spline S-tac diff with 3.50 gears, 3.5 in alum DS and 300M axles and McLeod RXT. They did better than the motor. This motor took quite a beating. This is including over 12 runs on the Dyno with the blower installed. And a whole bunch of 1st thru 4th runs in full boost.

The LPEs are coming out with the new motor and we will run triple DW300 pumps to at least 1200CC injectors.

Well, i just couldnt stand it anymore. I have given up on receiving my HKE built motor anytime soon. I am sure it will be worth the wait when its done.

Anyway, i have driven the car a few times around the neighborhood in the last few months since breaking the top ringland. And no issues, no CEL, runs fine and AFRs are responding the way they used to before the incident.

I decided this past weekend to drain and inspect the oil and cut the the filter in half. I run a magnetic drain plug and a FilterMag on the filter. The oil looked normal, smelled like oil etc, just the standard filings on the drain plug and in the filter same thing. No chunks of motor or ring material to be found. Yes, i know there are aluminum and other non ferrous metals in the motor but the filter material was in good shape.

I then pulled the #5 plug and examined it (it broke the ceramic on the original incident and i replaced it months ago.) it had slight oil fouling on it but was in good shape.

I ran my bore scope down into the cylinder and it looked the same as in the origingal pics and vids in this thread.

Put in new oil and filter and drove it this past weekend and drove it 15 miles into work today. No CELs, runs great, AFRs are stoich at cruising rpms etc. I have been in boost a hand full of times, up to about 6 psi but only for a couple seconds....there is pretty good blow by on decel out of boost. So i will just try to stay out of boost.

I think i can even drive it the 100 miles down to Ft Worth when the new motor is ready.

This motor once pulled will be sent out to ERL or RED to be sleeved then built accordingly for a spare I guess. I will also be able to examine the extent of how bad the damage on #5 is. But you can see in the vids and photos that the underlying ringlands are fully intact. Also, it does not seem to use any oil.

At least i can drive my broke ass car a little

No, its been just over 4 months. He extimated 3 months but we had to wait for 3 months for the dragonslayer, got it a month ago. I talked with Erik a week ago and then he said the LSX block was 4.165"bore Anyway, he says my motor is top priority and he will assemble it himself.....i was born at night......but not last night! Whatever, its too damn hot anyway to install and tune a brand new motor anyway. See, always a silver lining!

All I know for sure that my motor is in good hands with HKE. One of the top LS builders in the country! I knew it was gonna be a while and will be well worth the wait even if it takes another 3 months

I waited 9+ months for my motor. Should show up tomorrow. Damn parts are what holds them up. My dragonslayer crank took 7.5 months to get.

You guys don't know what wait time is. I've been thru the dragonslayer wait and other parts waits that you say to yourself, why the f*** does it take so long to get parts that they advertise as in stock on the websites.
The longest wait i ever had was for a Marcella sheetmetal intake. The wait was well worth it when i seen it. But it takes 9 mo. to get one!

Another vote for FIC Injectors. We have always used them as well and never a issue.
