Stock vs DSS drivetrain weight
anyone know whats the weight difference in the stock drivetrain and the DSS 9" conversion is.

For the added strength of the DSS 9', the added weight doesn't bother me. it's to be expected.

When I made the switch, I also switched to 17" Welds (not skinnies) and only gained 20 pounds. For the extra insurance, it was well worth it plus I have a lot more gear now to get the pig out of the barn.
The added advantage of having DSS back their parts is a big plus.

I'll have to get the weight of the 9 bit the new hammerhead 12 bolt weighs less than the factory
