Thanks for the link! 35hp for just a tune sounds great.

Check the website, read the article, and look at the HP & torgue graphs. All the gains are between 5750rpm to 6500rpm. Not where you would normally drive. Below 5750 there really isn't much gain, sometimes it's less than the stock tune.

I'm just curious as why you are looking for more power? That car was built that way for economy.

Understandable. We never wanted this vehicle from the beginning we were told to try it out and if we didn't like it they'd try to find something we did like. Well when I went back the person (sales manager) was nowhere to be found he was let go. Which was the first time I realized I should get everything in writing.

It's a little confusing, that someone wants to add more HP and not even know what they are driving. lol

Probably bought it as a DD then realized a little more power would be nice. My wife did that with the Focus (really it was the DCT she hated), and traded it for the Sonic (LOL).

Well, I would suggest the first step, would be to figure out what is under the hood of the car, before even thinking of modding it. 50-60hp might not sound like a lot. but in a car making less than 200hp, that's over 25%. Then you have to ask yourself, is it worth spending the money to make it faster, or just take that money, put it towards the car, so maybe you aren't upside down, and get the car you really want.

That's exactly my issue. I never test drove the vehicle she did and it wasn't on any major roads so she didn't have a chance to really "test" it. But now that she knows we aren't switching it i figured I could mess around under the hood to make it a little more enjoyable.

I guess people approach things differently, even if it is backwards. lol I know exactly what my fiancé is driving for her DD. But I like to do my research before making any kind of large purchase.

In your case, you can check out a tune and add the basic bolt-ons, if they make them for that car. I would be VERY surprised if a tune bumped that car up 35hp, since it's not the turbo version.

edit: just checked out that link.....Trifecta....good luck with that.
