I guess we’ll have to wait for the next Transformers to see what the 7th gen will be.

It's growing on me. Sales are bosltered, currently, by Camaro fans, I think...and this appears (to me) to be an attempt to reach out to folks that haven't considered it because it looked too similar to Gen 5.

I don't hate it. Didn't like it at first, but it's growing on me.

I really liked Bumblebee when I saw it. I hope this appears as 3-dimensional and complex in person.

I wonder where they go from here for that one!

It needs to get away from the modernized 1st gen theme.

With this MCE, I think that's the direction GM is heading. Just hope they clean up the design for the 7th gen.

It appears as though they're playing with the "layered" look...a body on top of a body. Like the Silverado...reminds me of the Lykan Hypersport a bit. The problem is, I think...the rest of the body wasn't designed for that.

Could be real good. I hope they take all the criticism in for this one for what it's worth. The last time they tried to appeal to us, it was a very modest change, and that may have hurt them. WE (enthusiasts) will pretty much buy anything fast with a bowtie on it...they need to appeal to everyone else. IMHO

The issue I have is the front used common design elements from other cars like the Charger/Dart fascia combined with the BMW lower grille. The tail lights look like a rejected set from some retro concept car. The LEDs around the headlights just end randomly in the grille. The front bow tie looks like they didn’t like how much empty space was on the fascia, so they slapped it on the crash bar.

It feels like they had 2 or 3 different groups working on the design and had to force it together.

Interesting video on how they kept it "under wraps"

https://www.cbsnews.com/video/how-gm...ore-its-debut/

I'm not a fan of the facelifted front. At all. :(

The first aftermarket company to find a way to relocate the bowtie up top, and have a panel that fills in the flow-tie in the center is going to make a killing.

That’s just plain awful. They are going farther and farther away from the beautiful 5Gen.

I have not had a chance to digest all of this yet (working my ass off today) but I really hope this is not the ONLY different color option for 19 otherwise my purchase may get pushed back even further.

GOOD. GM needs to do so.

One of the earliest criticisms about the 6th gen was it didn't push the envelope far enough design-wise, and at the time of the reveal I didn't agree but I sure as hell do now.

If you want a 5th gen, then go buy a 5th gen. Otherwise the 7th gen needs to take a completely new design direction.

I don’t mind them moving away from the 5th gen. It just doesn’t look like a well thought out design. I mean people have photoshopped better looking designs in the few hours since it’s been revealed. Maybe GM should hire them.

Sorry, the key word was Beautiful not 5Gen.

The 6Gen IMO leans too far towards aggressive than beautiful on an aggressive/beautiful balance (especially with the redesign). IMO the 5Gen had a perfect balance.

As an example IMO Ferrari leans slightly more towards the beautiful than the aggressive. Lamborghini leans slightly more towards the aggressive.

Me either. If anything they could've honeycombed the grill and MAYBE just MAYBE it wouldn't appear as a 4 dopr sedan look
