Test driving a new Camaro in South Florida?

I'd like to test drive a new camaro, v6 or SS, tommorow. Are dealers letting them out on test drives? Any advice on how to snag a test drive? I'm in South Florida btw.

something tells me that I wont be able to get within 1000 feet of one if the dealers even HAVE one actually just sitting there, but i figured i'd ask anyway.

Ummm well I guess it depends on if the dealer has one or not. Some dealers are cool and even if they only have a sold on on the lot they will take you to see it, obviously not anything else. If they have non-sold ones, they should have them quite visible on the lot, and if you let them know you're interested, you may get a test drive.

Potamkin Miami Lakes, and Kendall have lots of them.

idk about a test drive.

Best bet is to rent one from Budget or Avis. They have SS's available.

Well, guys, success. We went to Ed Morse Chevrolet on Sunrise, and they had 3 SS's. We rolled up in my dads car, and started ogling over the one they had outside. The salesman came out, we asked to test drive an SS and the guy basically said to go home, they wont let us test drive one, so my dad basically said "if we cant drive one why would we buy one?" so the salesman went and asked his manager, came back and said "which color do you want to test drive?"

So we took out a fully optioned up 2SS, my dad driving since we didn't want to push our luck. Car sounds fantastic from the interior, feels great, great interior. Headroom is NIL in the rear. not survivable for anyone over 5'10".

I love the car so much, i want it even more now. They were selling them at actual MSRP.....i think $34K for one of them out the door.

i feel like when the 5.0 Mustang is released in march, the 2010 SS price will drop catastrophically.

we were thinking about picking up a used one from avis, but a) they only come in automatic and b).................yea i can't imagine what horrible things would be done to a rental 400 Hp car. I only can dream that they might be a little abused to say the least.
