Manual shift boot on an auto

Has anyone installed a Manual shift boot on an automatic and is this even possible? Pics if you have done this.

Member tjk_art just did it recently. Just for looks I guess, plus the shifter will vibrate at idle, at least mine does and putting the boot on should eliminate that

I did it because it looks nicer/more sporty, and doesn't rattle. Leather beats plastic any day in my book.

Ha. You realize automatic Corvettes come with a leather boot instead of a shift plate?

I changed it to the leather boot because I like the look better and also because my automatic plastic junk made a rattling sound at idle and while driving.
