GOLD PLUG magnetic oil pan drain plug

Have been asked where do I get a magnetic drain plug? The best available is at www.goldplug.com or goldplug@gmail.com
The drain plug is the same size for all camaro engines order a: AP-04
They are about $9 and a worthwhile investment!

it is supposed to attract the metal partials that all engines shed.

I bought one for my Camaro and one for my Charger, $21.99 total, and they are strong.

is there an issue with the Gold Plug magnetic drain plug being too short in length or using a metal washer instead of a rubber one? whats the difference between Gold Plug and the one you can get at Autozone?

Got mine for $6 at autozone. Looked like its working fine last oil change. You wouldn't know if one is stronger than the other without both in front of you.

I bought one of these, have not changed oil yet since adding it though. Curious to see what it looks like after oil change. Still have a few miles to go though.

Ok did my change yesterday. First one with the magnetic plug. I put it on during my last oil change at 3000k. I'm at 6000K now. Sorry no pic's but I can tell you I could see some shiny metal flakes the size of glitter. But what was mostly on the plug was a silver /grey paste. If you wipe it off with your figure and smear it on a white piece of paper in the sun, You will see flecks reflecting in it. Does not sound like much..But this is my 4th oil change. I did a hard break in on the engine. 1st change at 500, then 1500, then 3000. If I had not done the previous changes I sure the metal residue collected on the magnetic plug would have been much worse.
