Braking pads for sporty use they have more metal ingredients in them this is what causes the news!! regular pads have regular materials that would not cause that much/any noise when braking!

Mine only makes noise when I leave the parking brake on overnight after washing my car. The next morning when I release the parking brake and drive of it makes a big pop. The first time it did it, I thought something broke......almost shit my pants. I guess it just sticks a bit after washing the wheels.

If your car is not a daily driver, expect noise everytime you take it out. Humid weather also will increase the likelyhood of noise. I work at a shop that handles alot of cars that are not daily drivers, and brake noise is the #2 complaint. Dead batteries after sitting is the #1.

If the noise is persistant you may want to try and 'seat' your new brakes. You can do this by getting her up to highway speed and braking very firmly (don't lock them) down to a crawl - you don't want to dead stop. Do this a few times to heat the brakes up and force them to 'mate'. Sometimes this is all it takes to eliminate the noise you hear. Its not uncommon that new pads/shoes need this treatment, and won't hurt a thing to try.

Mine has 5,400 miles and sounds like I need brakes. Someone told me it make be sand. But, it's still doing it a week later. It's a squeal sound.

Brakes will squeal after sitting and w/high humity. It's been that way forever. Slow town driving will also cause it. I agree with the comment of taking you car out and do a few driving speed stops. Seems to work. The metalic content in the pads doesn't help either.
