#1 Car alarm system???

Can someone who is familiar with quality of car alarm systems please give me some ideas of which ones to look at? My 4th gen was stolen and stripped last week and I DO NOT want that happening to my new camaro...thanks in advance. And could you please give explanation to what makes it better than others?

Sorry to hear about your car, what a nightmare. I am going to add this in instead of starting another alarm thread. I look at the nice 20" rims on this car and I just get nervous about them getting stolen. Is there a factory alarm available as well-or maybe a dealer installed option? I don't see how you could go aftermarket without making the key fob buttons useless. I know the onstar and passkey will help keep it from getting stolen but I like the idea of some extra protection from an audible alarm.

The '10 Camaro is standard with the PASSKEY III system. I dont know if this comes with an audible alarm, but it makes the car as a whole practically unstealable.

Refer to this thread for more info:

Best alarm I've had that worked well was Clifford. But, its been a couple of years since I've bought an alarm. You will have a new fob, but there is no way around that. Aftermarket alarms are way better than the factory ones. The factory alarms are usually pretty basic. Hope this helps.

^Yeah that is what I have heard, but the factory one for the Camaro is apparently very good for a factory system, so is it worth it to spend the money to upgrade to a slightly better security system?
