You understand this is what 'sport car' snobs say about the Camaro...

As someone already pointed out, ICEs are NOT going away in our lifetime. As long as there is a demand, manufacturers will produce them. So enjoy your fun loud Camaro, and don't be afraid to buy the Bolt for your daily commuter.

I have not heard anyone say in a review that the Taycan is anything but awesome. Comparing a Model 3 to a Camaro let alone a true sports sedan for handling is not a fair comparison.

I know auto engineers are yelling "Listen! We can build you a better, faster car that can handle better! Please, try it. Its different but better! Overtime it will be cheaper."

Customer:"....No. I want my rumble noise. If it aint broke don't fix it."

Seriously though, the Tesla doesn't handle as well as other cars due to the weight; however, Tesla isn't a stagnant company. It will change due to technology and weight distribution.

Also, the Tesla 3 and S weren't designed to do the Autobaun. Its a commuter car that happens to be fast so its not apples-to-apples to compare it to a Miata or Camaro.
The Taycan and Roadster on the other hand...

Last I checked it's bad business to make pencils when your customers want pens.

Like Bob Lutz said: making people buy fuel efficient cars is like forcing people to lose weight by making it illegal to make pants any larger than 30".

There is HUGE demand for pens. Just because you don't one, doesn't mean nobody else does either.

Except if humanity dies if you get fat. Then you are only getting 30s.

Different strokes for different folks. One pedal driving in stop and go traffic is a lot easier than 3 pedals. The latter is doable, but once you try the former you get it.

My first car was a 1985 Buick Regal when I was 19 in 1996. It was given to me so of course I graciously accepted, and was happy and proud to own it. But I had that car for exactly 1 year before I bought my first stick, a 1990 Beretta GT V6 5 speed. And I've been driving stick ever since.

So yes, I absolutely get it.

A bad day in traffic with a stick is better than any day with an automatic.

Electric power is great if it is used as intended. To power starting motors which start ICE's. Or........ Maybe if we want "true clean" switch to peddle cars.

That's the key there, you're referring to it as A DAY. Situation is different for everyone, for those that commute in heavy traffic every day, like me, one pedal driving in an electric works fantastic. This is coming from a former Volt owner, and now an SS 1LE owner.

Ok let me rephrase:

Being in horrible Manhattan/LA at 5:00-type traffic everyday, ALL day, 365 days a year with a stick is STILL better than any amount of time driving an automatic.

Hope that’s a little clearer for you.
