tapping sound before car stop runnng

I was driving my v6 camaro and stopped at a red light. Before stopping I heard some tapping noise . When I started to continue driving the car lost power. All the lights and radio work but the car did not turn over. After waiting 10 minutes I tried again to turn car on and it tried to turn over...barely. WTH...? the car is two yrs old..any ideas....

[The crank shaft went on the car . I tried to have Chevy to get me a new engine but they just rebuilt it. I am not happy with Chevy. This is car is two yrs old . I do not race the car. I don't abuse it. I stop driving the car cause I think its crap now. Sad but I may be turning toward ford now.
