Congrats. I know for myself, after having the top of the line Camaro, I would have a hard time not going for the true Z06. I love the supercharger experience.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the kind words. The car is still new to me so its hard to really compare to the ZL1 while I'm in the honeymoon phase
I can say for sure: - Getting in and out of the car is a lot harder! - Being 6'4, I'm at my absolute limit in terms of leg and head room. - The Magnetic Ride Control / PTM interface is not as good, I prefer the buttons on the zl1 over the dial on the vette. - No back seats = less seat adjustability and less cargo space. - LESS CARGO SPACE - holy crap you can't really even get groceries in the trunk without laying them down sideways. - Infotainment on the ZL1 seemed better organized and easier to use (but still learning). + Visibility is WAY better in the Vette, though I got used to the ZL1 and it wasn't a big deal. + I love the front bumper cameras + Video Data Recorder is awesome, even if used just for some back roads. + Keyless ignition is nice + Folding mirrors are nice though necessary on the Vette since they stick out more. + Interior is SUPER WELL laid out and fantastic quality, though the ZL1 was good enough for me There are plenty more pros and cons obviously but those are the ones that came to mind. OH! A big minus... Just today, while driving south on I280 (SF Bay Area), I was doing the speed limit (break-in) in the middle lane and here comes some guy in his Z51, he pulls up next to me and looks over, lifts his sunglasses and gives me the biggest douchebaggery "whats up look" and then speeds off. WHAT A DOUCHEBAG! Is this what the Corvette community is like? What have I done...

Love Corvettes, had 2 '91 ZR-1's, no newer one's...yet. You'll see that Vette owners all wave at each other. Enjoy your new ride.

You can't go wrong with either the Camaro or Vette! You'll love your new GS. You'll also learn how to pack and will end up surprised on how much you can get packed in the coupe!
Enjoy your new ride. It's really hard to beat a vette for "fun" factor! Yes - and there is a "wave" protocol in a vette. You need to wave at every vette you see on the road, regardless of generation. It's a sub-culture and very fun! |

I have test drove the new C7's several times. My knees are just hard up against the tunnel and the door when seated. It was just not as comfortable as I would like it to be. Love the looks, and the driving...but for the money the lack of comfort was just a deal killer.

I'm 6'4, 210lbs and I felt I was pretty much at the limit, though after driving the car for a couple weeks, I've found some tricks that help slightly and the seat has started to sink slightly -- I now fit like a glove, a very tight glove but it feels good; one more inch and I'm certain i'd have hated it.
