Ok, so here is Mrs. Number 3's trip back from San Diego this week.

On the plane at 4:00 Chicago time. By 5:00 I am getting severe thunderstorm watch alerts on my phone. She is supposed to land at 8:00. I am watching her flight on flight tracker and although being late, it turns South East. Not good.

By 9:00 she calls me and says they have landed in Indianapolis. No food mind you as for some reason the airport is shut down. They wait and finally get back on the plane and back for Chicago.

Coming into O'Hare, flaps down, gear down, they pull up and turn around and back to Indy. By this time it is very late. United is making no real effort to get everyone on other flights. "A bus is coming to take you to Chicago". No rental cars or hotel rooms because apparently there is some kind of race in town this weekend . So Mrs. Number 3 is wandering around trying to find someone who knows something. She sees a crowd gathering at another gate and heads there. "anyone have Chicago as their final destination?" "YESSSS!!!!!!" she shouts. "Run to gate XX and get on that plane NOW!", she is told.

Finally, on the 3rd descent into O'Hare, she lands and is nearly home. 5:30 am she arrives. I've never heard of anyone need 3 attempts to get home......................other than a carrier landing.

That is all.

That sucks! That's why even though I cover 11 states I drive 90% of the time. I prefer to control my own destiny.

Just saw a white Z/28 at Singh Chevrolet in Riverside. I didn't think to check the VIN, I was too excited to actually see one. It's a no A/C car and they didn't have a price on it yet.

On Santa Rosa Island at Navarre Beach you can stay in a hotel and walk east past the pier to completely undeveloped sugar sand beach owned by the Air Force. That's my Florida panhandle destination of choice.

I'm planning some scuba in the Keys in a couple of weeks.

Only if Chevron would add some charging stations to their parking garage downtown this could be my daily commuter.

I REALLY liked the car though.

I saw my first Z/28 today at Hendrick's Chevrolet in Buford GA. it was Red Hot (the color as well). Those front tires are massive, especially in person. Very cool!
