Ordering Tomorrow!!

Hey guys, have been lurking here for the past couple days or so trying to get my info together before I go place my order tomorrow on an IOM 2ss/rs. Just had a few questions before I go tomorrow. Ok first off, which stripes do you guys think would be best for the IOM, i was thinking either black or cgm...dunno about white. Also i was thinking about the sunroof, but read where it cuts back on the headroom, I am 6 foot and was concerned about this. Any input would be greatly appreciated and cant wait til tomorrow!!!

If you want black, wait in MHO, unless you like flat black, white would be good, if I had it to do again, I would find a very good paint shop, take the difference between what I paid for my stripes and have them painted. Don't get in a rush. Save your money where you can. After market are not always better, but in a lot of cases they are.

If you just have to have it, step back and ask why?

yep, no sunroof, doesn't look right, messes up the smooth reverse mohawk roofline among other things. for stripes, I would say white if you want it to stand out like the 30th anniversary editions (i think that is the correct anniversary), but CGM would be good for subtle, but hey, you got the inferno orange, you should just go all out!

I'm ordering the CGM stripes on mine and I assume that these are just the matte finish. will a paint shop paint these off of the car and clear coat them, then I have the dealer install them? have any info on the process for this? I'd prefer also to not have the matte finish.
this is what I liked about the VIN 002 car of Rick Hendrick's where he had the stripes with what appeared to be clear-coat.

actually, the more I look at it, the less I want the stripes. I think i'm ditching them and will get them later if I decide. I really want a clean finish and don't want a flat finish on the stripes and don't really want to bother with getting them painted. So I think I just converted to a non-striper.

The blacks are the only ones that are flat, the dealers are not going to clear over any stripes, they will either hire someone to stick them on or do it in house. 5 bens could be used better if you just wait and research your local area, I'm only speaking of LPO, I have no clue about RPO.

Get the car, save some money and do what you want with it. If I could buy a quality paint job for a grand, and I'm already going to invest 500.00 in "stickers", wait and pay. I didn't do it and I should have, and I will. They will be removed and I will pay to have it done, but I pissed away hard earned cash.
