They don't seem to be making ZL1's or convertibles in Synergy Green so I am all set with what I have.

Don't agree with the op at all. You can make the ss look and perform ten times better then that ZL1. Me personally I love to customize my rides n make them my own

I am not sick of my SS. It is still thrilling to drive. I have one very important thing that makes mine different from everyone else's. It is the TITLE with my name on it. When I got mine on 5/23/09 I knew that I would keep this car. If the ZL1 came out first, I would have one. It did not and I won't. Besides, motorcycles are my main vice and I have a brand new 2012 Streetglide.

I agree on the front end. I'm thinking I might paint the lower grill, splitter, and maybe even the air extractor body color.

Not a bit. I know im in the minority but i never cared for the ports on the front. Im perfectly happu with what i have. If ever decide to buy one it wont be because others did and now i feel inferior.

I personally would rather have the 1le badged as a z28. I dig that setup.

Me Neither, Not a fan of the Jap SUV-type ports. Cool car but if I was in the market for a high price car I'd go for a CTS-V Coupe.
I'll stick with what I've got,for the street it rips it up just fine.

It's not just you. I keep my SS spotless and that's enough for me. I put on factory chrome wheels that I wish GM had offered and that's it.
5-6 years from now a clean stock 5th gen is going to be worth more, and more in demand than most of the altered personalized Camaros I see here.
IMO of course.

I still love my 2SS because in the looks department i feel it looks better due to my personal touch. Being original and always being on the lookout for new body mods to keep it fresh is what its all about. Gotta give it a lil BOTOX as well as some extra Horses every now and again!

Please allow me to admit: I don't have a 5th Gen yet, and I am waiting on ZL1...

Having prequalified with that statement - I am also going to happily say that, even now, everytime I see a 5th Gen, I smile. HECK - an ugly person could be driving (okay - that's no right - every CAMARO owner is a friend of mine ). If you, for whatever reason, think the introduction of another CAMARO is something bad for your car, IMVHO - you are sadly mistaken.

CAMARO means friend - that's what the car is about. A new car in the line-up should be something proud for us faithful!!! That means CAMARO is succeeding in it's mission!!! That means it's doing well!!! I'm over-joyed at all new CAMARO-related announcements from GM. I can't wait to see more improvements and changes for our beloved cars!!!

I'm sorry if I sound a little too enthusiastic, or crazy, but I just had to post some of that. I'm seeing too many others in our Community take little stabs at us here and there, trying to take away our enthusiasm. I felt compelled to try to add a little in our little world at CAMARO5. No one should feel deminished with a new member to the line-up. We should be proud that we're moving the bar up and taking CAMARO from old, simple Pony Car to Warhorse, as I've read lately, lol.

JMVHO...

I liken this topic to the difference between the Ford GT500 (or should I say the GT476ish) and the SuperSnake. The 500 is by far the more famous of the two cars. This is also true for the SS and the ZL1. It really comes down to a choice of pedigree or performance. The average person won't know the differance.
