USB cable placement
I use android auto pretty regularly. I run the usb cable from under the center console and place the phone in the cup holder. Not a fan of this. What is everyone else doing/ running their cables?

Forward center console under a down-tilted AC vent keeps the phone cooler when the GPS is running while top down cruising on hot sunny days.
For more spirited drives, it goes in the cupholder. |

I use a proclip with a magnetic mount on it. I ran the cable under the console and up by the knee pad. I hate cable clutter. I’ve used proclip on all of my cars, this car is the most disappointing though location wise, I would like it higher, but I haven’t found a mount I like that I want to use, so proclip it is. It works great for AA or CarPlay.

I have the iOttie Easy One Touch 2 mounted on the side of the center console and run my usb charging cable out from the front of the center console lid (not pictured).

I finally threw in the towel on using the Apple Car Play and went back to blue tooth. I got sick of cables crapping out, plugging, unplugging, it wasn't spectacular enough to me for the hassle.

Cables crapping out? I use android auto and just plug in my phone and leave it in the cup holder, by my leg, or on the passenger seat. Waze makes it all worth it to me and the google speech has been very good with searching and directing. It also has an added bonus of preventing me from being distracted with my phone to answer a text or something.

For long drives, strap it to the leg -- Iron Eagle style! =)

I have a magnetic mount on the dash to the right of the 8" screen. Wire does get on my nerves, but haven't run it under console yet.
