Said they couldn't find a leak, so up on jacks it went to verify. Took sandpaper to the exhaust to get all the shit off of it, here's to hoping my $40k 6 month old car doesn't smell like a 30 year old $700 Ford anymore. Trip through the mountains scheduled today so should be able to rule out the caked exhaust as culprit.
I took mine in for a pinion seal leak a while back . Even posted pics and info in the drive line section . . After getting the car back for a while I thought I noticed a smell ... so I put it up on the lift and sure enough they never cleaned up the crap all over the pipes . I cleaned them up with just a wipe of some towels while cold and have not noticed the smell since .

Bought and picked up wheels and tires from Cornholio yesterday and drove them from Independence, MO back to Houston, TX.

Yep exactly what I had. I didn’t put it up to check it, just dropped it off and let them go through it. Said no leaks and said they cleaned up some of the residual but sure as hell didn’t look like it. So I had at it this morning with rags, sand paper, brake clean, whatever would work. So far no luck but the pipes are clean. Has to be some more hiding somewhere or another leak.

Rear and side lighting upgrades

Sprang for those lovely Diode Dynamics smoked side markers and threw in a dark taillight/3rd brake light combo, too. Car is starting to look like what I have in mind for spring Not sure about switching to the black Chevy emblem, it may be too much black on the rear.

On a related note, I'm not sure I see why GM doesn't allow somewhat more freedom in our choice of options. I do understand why some of the bundling decisions are beneficial to GM, but not offering the dark finish taillights with anything other than the redline edition makes no sense to me. Also, keeping the halogen reverse bulb in an LED taillight assembly is so cheap.

Oh, and limiting options is bad for business, too---I'm sure I would have strongly been tempted to pick up this combo when configuring my build even at $750, while retrofitting them cost me much less for the parts. Just my 2 cents', though.

Dumped the color-not-matching-and-get-dirty-just-by-looking-at-them floor mats in favor of 3D MAXpider mats like MojaveKY showed off in his YT Video.

Excellent coverage, perfect fit, won't move around at all, and look great!

Added a C7 ZL1 front splitter. ABSOLUTELY love how it looks. Can’t wait for the side skirts to get here!

I spent Thursday and Friday thrashing her at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. Far exceeded my goal of running a sub 2:00 lap time. Good enough to finish in 3rd place in Street RWD (out of 11 cars).

Very nice pictures

@ arpad_m,
How do you plug the LED into the original plug. I have bought used OEM side marker as we have only the white reflectors without funktion. But now I miss the socket/plug to connect the harness with the light/ bulb.
I need this.

@Soleil I reused the sockets from the original harness, the DD side marker kit does not include new ones. What it has is a small circuit board that plugs directly into the halogen bulb socket, with its other end wired to the LED strip inside the marker body.

A quick ebay search for 2016 Camaro side markers gave me quite a few hits for OEM pieces that included the sockets. Failing that, you might want to email Diode Dynamics and ask them if they can include these, they have a couple harnesses and connectors in their product list.

Yea, I know all those eBay stuff but I thought I might get just the plugs. Obviously not. So I have to order new ones
