Anyone else dissapointed the V6 and V8 look the same?
Yeah, I know they are some differences here and there, mail slot being a big one. However, the V6 model to the untrained eye looks exactly the same as the V8...people will just say "Oh, there's another Camaro".
In a couple years the Camaro could be like the Mustang...so many of them with the V6 that anyone with a GT doesn't stand out, they just blend in. Does it annoy anyone else that people will confuse your V8 with the V6 and therefore your car will be deemed not as special down the line? That you could spend almost 40,000 for a fully loaded SS and people will confuse it for a LS? We all want the Camaro brand to sell well, and we all want GM to prosper. However, I know that no one really wants Camaro's littered all around them so that your car is just one of the many. |

All the more reason to buy the V6... GM needs the money. It's smart.

Nope. I care more about go than show. Trust me, if they want to know which one it is, they'll be able to find out without one single badge. Actions speak louder, exhaust louder still...

i think it's nice that they're similar. the people who don't want or can't afford the V8 will have a car that looks just as good & gets the same respect as the guys with the top dogs.

yeah I thought about this too
The SS should have cut out side gills like the concept maybe a different grill The v6s should have 1 exhaust pipe, and no fogs (LT too) I think that would help tell them apart a little bit

Dual exhaust tips are CRUCIAL for the sale, imho. Any car with a single tip just doesn't do it for me, save for something like a TT Supra or a Porsche/Lotus. Don't down the 6, but up the 8, if anything.

I don't think quad tips would work on the Camaro.

So at 30 mph going in the other direction in 1969 you could tell the difference between the 6 and 327? a 350 and a 396?

I am not worried about them resemble each other on the outside, because we all know the difference underneath the hood. The v6 will not boast the ss badging, and who really cares what others think?
