GM NO SUPPORT!
Just installed the GM 3.91 gears in my car. Purchased from GM dealer, installed by a reputable shop and took to a Massachuettes Chevy dealer to calibrate. They called the GM tech line to program the ECU and they told the Chevy dealer it was illegal to do in MA. So took it to the Connecticut dealer wher I bought the care. They called GM tech line to program the ECU and they were told that GM no longer does this!
We purchase there cars and buy there parts and they abandon us! If anyone that works at GM reads this and wants to help the case number is 71-1498303170. It's enough to drive me back to the blue oval. |

Pretty sure anyone with EFI live or HP tuners can handle this recalibration.

I'm not sure if EFI or HP can support the 1LT motor though. Contact Ted JT |

Didn't know GM had the 3:91 in a V6 setup ... Thought it was for SS only.

I'm referring to the kit that comes with the calibration for the speedometer. It was my understanding the calibration was only available for the SS.

True, and it is a manual. In case anyone is wondering or needs to know, yes I wish I had purchased a 1LE like I originally planned.

So you're mad that they can't give you something they don't have? If it was an SS the calibration already exists for 3.91 gears as they come in the 1LE. But there is obviously no 3.91 option for the V6 therefore no calibration.

That could be the issue, they don't have a calibration. However I was asked what car I had before they sold me the kit. Again that is my mistake to assume since they asked that they could provide it. It does make me do a lot of math quickly in my head every time the speed limit changes. Suppose I could get used to it.

Dial in your tire size and gear set push the button and wait. Remember your odometer will be way off in the long run if you don't do this now! |

And your service interval timers will be way off, and your anti lock brakes take vehicle speed into account so they might be wacky.
