On the one month and one day anniversary of my car.... Bad luck. :(

Went into the store for 5 minutes. Have a pretty good idea of the vehicle that did it, but no witnesses and the store's cameras didn't go out far enough in the parking lot. I think what happened; the guy drove close to check out my ride and after getting his view, drove off and scraped on accident. Wasn't too much traffic at the store at that time. And without being too politically incorrect, I live in arizona and the suspect vehicle had outta country plates .

Guessing what, about a 500 dollar repair bill (which is my deductible as well). Someone was telling my my insurance may help out w the cost under comprehensive coverage as it isn't accident damage. Dont know how true that is, guess ill have to call.

Ordered my 2011 last May 18, 2010. Recieved mid Aug. 2010.
Oct. 2010 scratched paint left rear fender wheelwell. $600 paint repair and did not call insurance so paid out of pocket. September 2010, three left side dings (two on left rear fender, one on left door), Ding Doctor home vistit $150 but not fully repaired. May 2011, left rear fender paint damage, polish helped but still need to compound.
Seldom drive, park back rows when I do drive, damage did not happen in my apartment parking underground garage as I have car nuts parking on both my left and right sides.
9-1/2 months, 2,850 miles, paint damage on left rear fender three times. Out of pocket paint/ding repair close to $800.
Starting to think I am jinxed!

Nice looking car, love the lowered stance and wheels.

Dang. Sorry to hear about all that man. I can only hope I dont have your bad string of bad luck. Its sad to work so hard for something nice that you love so much only to have others put a damper on it, intentional or not.

I think im going to stop parking way out in parking lots. Just find a nice car and park next to it and hope for the best. Im sure someone in a benz or other nice car will be careful when exiting their spot. And probably will avoid a lot of jackwagons who see a nice camaro parked by itself and say "that guy thinks his car is so cool, watch what i do"

The only problem with that is if the nice car leaves before you do, another not-so-nice car may pull in next to you.

I'm still for parking far away (especially where there are no shopping carts). Just don't park on a diagonal or take up 2 spots and you should be ok.

My 1LT

Love the SS's but just couldn't afford one. So I got this 1LT and so far have tinted the windows. I have the OEM spoiler on the way next week and finally found the summit white mud guards and they will be here next week also. Will post pics once installed. The dealership had these seats recoverd with black leather and the red suede w/chevy emblem and the back seats as well.

Wow! Congrats Dave! I love the seats! Did you order the car and have the dealer do the seats for you, or did you find it on a lot like that?

Thanks Karen. I believe it sat too long on the dealer's lot, so they sent it off to have the rally stripes put on and converted the interior from cloth to leather including the door panels--I saw it one day on the lot without the stripes and it was extremely dirty, but every other camaro on the lot was immaculate. I then went by again 2 weeks later, saw it with the stripes and the upgraded interior, so I test drove it, fell in love with it..and took it off the lot for 4K off the sticker.

That's great, Dave. Did they add the cost of the upgrades to the sticker price or did they eat the cost?
