To the OP, get the 1LE and don't look back. These things handle like they're on rails and the 3.91 gears are a blast! Hope you can drive a stick cause you can't get one with an auto.
My GTO is a 6 spd my friend, would never own an auto.

The stereo "head unit" controls the HVAC and all user interfaces.

If you spend enough time on this forum, perhaps you will be convinced that replacing it is just looking for trouble. The 2SS stereo sounds great. A Garmin GPS with lifetime updates can be had for 200-300 bucks.

The best Camaro is, of course, mine! In's a late 2010 2SS non-RS. Here's what makes it the best:

Back-up warning, unlike early 2010.
No "chiclet", unlike early 2010.
Fully functional fog lights, unlike RS, which uses the fogs as the DRLs.
Retro looking steering wheel, which you said you don't like, but I do!

What I'm missing that I wish I had:

HUD
MyLink

Oh well, can't have everything.

I would consider the HUD a worthy thing to have I really love it on mine. And it keeps me in check seeing the speedo up where my eyes are focused.

I know, I know. You want the corporate steering wheel that looks like anything on the Hertz lot.

Only one year from Gen 5 is going to have any collector value, and that's 2010.

I'm not looking for a collector car. I hate the steering wheel in the 2010,11. Sorry Dogg.

Imo the 2011 looks way better then the run of the mill wheel with the chevy emblem. My 2011 has Camaro on the wheel and SS on the bottom..looks really good.

The 2010-11 steering wheel certainly looks better, but it sucks to actually use. Awkward hand placement and feel.

I traded the GTO. I didn’t want to deal with ‘tire kickers’ or people who weren’t serious about buying. Being on a tight schedule also played into that.

I was given $10k for my GTO. It had 68,600’ish miles. Excellent condition.

Private sale prices were around $12k.

You’re right. Honestly, I had forgotten about the ‘Magnetic Ride Control’.

You should have easily gotten about 15-17k for your car. I've been looking all over the country on what GTO's are going for and I'm seeing 15-17k all day long. Also, Yellow Jacket ones are hard to find. There's no way I'm trading mine in and getting screwed. I'll sell it the hard way.

I sold a 99 Trans am 7 yrs ago to buy a Goat and it only took me a week. It had 120k on it. I got 8k. I bet my car sells in less than a week for 15k.

1LE is an option, it isn't in the VIN, it's on the RPO codes in the trunk; left side under the mat.

VIN is at the base of the windshield on the left side.
