Unable to program key fob after swapping transmissions

Hi everyone,

I searched everywhere on the forum but haven't been able to find this exact topic.

I have a 2012 Bumblebee SS. It came from the factory with a 6-speed manual transmission which was replaced with a Rossler 4L80e, which is automatic. I had a spare key made at the dealership and then tried following the instructions for programming the new key. Problem is, for key programming purposes, the computer still thinks the car has a manual transmission and requires you to press the clutch pedal to go through the programming process. Obviously, there is no clutch pedal anymore, so it won't let me program the new key.

Anyone ever seen this issue? Dealership says they think they can do it, but will charge me 1-2 hours of labor.

Thanks!

Join the Dallas Camaro clubs if you haven't yet, they have contacts. I know because a few of them are on my speed dial. You're probably looking for the Lone Star Camaro group.
