Does anyone else think this car should have come with a get out of jail card? Wow is all I can say a few weeks after buying it. Radio is usually off ... 3rd and 4th are amazing ..., thank God I couldn’t afford a car like this when I was in high school. Thank you Chevy engineers ... amazing.

These cars have radios!?!? Kidding - but I hear you, mine is usually off too. The music under the hood and out the pipes is more than enough for me.

I would have been jailed or dead with this car as a 18-22 year old. I don't crave the top speed runs quite a much, but I cannot get enough of that 0-100 acceleration.

I don't have a z/28 but I'm glad I passed up a 17 GT for an ls3! I'm 20 yo and love the speed but I respect the car and know the trouble it could get me in. I am fortunate

On the street, when you get on it, only get on it for short bursts to pass, or to get up to the speed limit.

I had a Hwy Patrol see me get on it good from about 40 mph to 72 mph on the fwy while getting out of traffic, and I thought I had a ticket for sure, but, he just came behind me on the PA and told me to "watch my speed", then, he went two lanes over and gave a guy with an Infinity going 75 a ticket.... go figure... I was so happy !

I agree. I can’t believe how mellow 6th gear is on this beast ... might have to bump up the miles on Hagerty as well.

The Z28 is an awesome car, super fun to drive. I bought a 17 Z06 this Spring and talk about stupid fast, it makes the Z28 feel like a tank. I kept the Z28 and like them both for different reasons. The Z28 is just a raw race car, super tight suspension, loud and lots of torque, and it's very rare to see one. The Z06 is a smooth ride because of the magnetic shocks, lots of power, quiet until you step on the gas and stupid fast. In the Z06, you do not feel like you are going fast, until you look at the speedometer.

You are absolutely right about the driving experience in the Z/28 and I must say that I like how the engine demands attention. I watched many YouTube videos on this car before I bought one and thought I had that LS7 figured out. I see why Motor Trend picked the Z/28 as the driver car of 2014.

I've had situations where I thought I was going to get busted, but didn't. Really don't know if the cops knew what I was driving. Probably just lucky, but always like to believe the Z is so uber cool that they let me go and even believe I got a thumbs up. Lol.

However, we have an area in Dallas called Park Cities. Very upscale area and the police tolerate zero nonsense and a Z/28 is probably viewed as total troublemaker. I got zero love a while back when busted for going 7 MPH over speed limit.

oh man you guys crack me up but y'all were right a Z28 cruising through a nice neighborhood all you going to get is little old ladies standing in their driveways with their hands on their hips giving you that mean look. you might as well have a sign on the side of the car that says I've come to steal your daughter's virtue. it's just that sexy of a car

This thing is a chick magnet.... single or taken it doesn’t matter. I almost feel bad for those guys with the neck breaker lady on his arm when I drive by.
