Keep or Delete Resonators with this setup?

This is my current setup:
-ARH HFC
-Magnaflow resonated X-pipe (11386)
-SLP LM2 axleback
-Solo j pipes

I know there are a lot of resonator delete threads, but I haven't seen anyone comment on this particular setup so I thought this might help others too.

I like the sound quality with this setup, but wish it was just a bit louder. I'm not looking to make it a ton louder otherwise I'd get rid of the xpipe. Deleting resonators seemed like an inexpensive way to increase the volume a bit, but I'm wondering if there will be any downsides to doing this.

My question is what can I expect after deleting the resonators? Does doing this noticeably increase the volume? How will it change my exhaust note?

I would guess that the resonators control both sound and tone, but since you have the Solo J-pipes (which are a type of resonator) you can adjust them to cancel the frequency you don't like. I'm not sure though, this is merely a guess.

Speaking of which, how did you get a hold of those J-pipes? I want some, but I've looked on Solo's website and cannot see just the J-pipes for sale. I only see them in the picture with the cat-back system.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, not concerned about drone since I can tune out any unwanted frequencies. Just didn't want it to cause an undesired exhaust note (way to raspy etc).

Solo will sell them separately if you contact them. They're normally $225 shipped, but they should have a discount for Black Friday. They post their email info on their site.

Definitely get rid of the stock resonators if you still have them. If that isn't enough, I'd say go for catless downpipes next.

OP already has the Magnaflow 11386. They have the ideal exhaust base already.

So I deleted the resonators and overall am happy with this decision.

Pros:
-sounds slightly louder, maybe 10-20%?
-exhaust note changed slightly, sounds more aggressive, by that I mean there are more details to the exhaust note that become more noticeable(gurgles etc)
-no rasp, the x pipe still takes care of the rasp even without resonators

Cons:
-drone was maybe slightly more pronounced but just adjusted the j pipes and it’s gone
