Size: 158.2 KBSo the story is a friend of my buddy bought this car new and his cracked out daughter ended up inheriting the car.i'm guessing after that the car spent a lot of time outside because the top of the car was dull and chulky (hood, top and hatch). Drivers side fender looks like it's been kicked, passenger side door has two or three good dings and the spoiler end on passenger quarter is broken.
The interior is actually real nice except the top of the front arm rests are curled up and the dash has a couple cracks. The seats sre all like new. The girl took the factory bose cassette deck out and replaced it with a newer factory type cd player and didn't put the bezle back on. So I'm missing the bose deck, the radio bezel and the floor mats. The woman said she'd get them to me but I'm not holding my breath.
I've only got a couple pictures of the car after polishing some of the chalkyness off the top.....the car has 31,000 miles i paid $3000 for the car.what do ya think?Attachment 681590

Awesome. What year is it? I had an 88 Iroc when I was a teenager. Loved that car. Briefly had a 90 model that I had big plans for, but ended up selling it.

This one is an 89 it's got the iroc badges but none of the stripes or door decals.must have been ordered without I guess?
My son has loved this body for a long time. Probly end up putting new tires and fresh paint on it and giving it to my son.

Yes,you could order a "stripe delete" IROC,I can't remember what the RPO code was for it,but look inside the center console lid,and it should have all the RPO codes on the SPID label, one of them would indicate it being a "stripe delete" car.
If you want to take a nice clear picture of the label and post it I should be able to figure out which code it is once I get back to work at the dealership.

DX3-Decal and stripe delete (credit of $60)………Quantity(for '89)-88,144. Not sure how this number is figured since there was only 24,007 IROC's. All I can assume is all they count all the RS models too which figures 110,739 total - 88,144 DX3 cars = 22,595 of 24,007 IROCs leaves 1,412 IROCs with the DX3 option.

First year for the VATS system (chipped key), and progressive rate throttle linkage.

Are you planning on a factory resto, resto-mod, or serious mods?
