6L90E swap
Im in the process of swapping a 6l90e into my 2010 SS. I noticed that the tranny casing is a lil longer. My question to those of you that did this already; did u you have the drive shaft shop make a custom one or will a stock zl1 drive shaft for auto will bolt directly up. Im using a zl1 diff as well. Thanks in advance for your assistance!

If your doing the tranny and rear at the same time then yes a ZL1 shaft will work.

I spoke with DSS about this back when I was looking to do a 6L90 swap. I’d highly recommend measuring and seeing what you need. Zl1 and SS diff are different so not sure that a zl1 Ds will work

How did the swap go?
What did it cost total parts wise? hpw did you get the TCM to work with the SS ECU? Did the stock ZL1 Drive shaft fit with SS dif? I'm torn between a 6L90 swap or a rebuilt Circle D Trans Level 3 800hp....

If I remember correctly, the 6L90 will need the TCM from the 6L80. I’m going with a 6L80 rebuild from GPI...
