that is sweet. I am gonna get one.
Questions. There are several mounting brackets available, which model did you get? Is the one with the adhesive backed mounting disk that you just stuck to the dash? Do you have to manually turn on/off the PLX device each time you turn on/off the car? It comes with 6ft long cord, how did you hide it? Thanks! |

No you don't have to manually turn on/off the PLX device. It just stays on, it only pulls milliamps, so it won't discharge your battery. Probably pulls no more than all the rest of the electronics on the rest of the car. If you wont be driving for a long period of time, just unplug from the OBD2 port. I just wire-tied the device under the dash by the steering column.

Question on the PLX wifi
Hi,
I have been thinking about doing this for quite some time, but am wondering about the OBD connector on the PLX device. Is it a straight connector, or is it right-angled? Worried about bumping into the cable during clutch/brake/accel pedal work... -Joe |

I wire tied the cable up under the dash. I've put alot of miles on since installing it and have never bumped it yet. Don't notice it at all.

I have installed this on my new 2010 Camaro 2SS and it works great! The nice thing about it is that you can attach it to other cars also. I tried it on my 2002 Ford E150 van and my 2003 Chevy Avalanche.
