Service Suspension after installing lowering springs

I installed Pedders lowering springs today and everything went pretty well. Except now when I start the car, the "service suspension" comes up on the DIC. Once I clear it, it stays off and the cars handles and drives like it did before the install. Has anyone experienced this before? I sent JusticePete a PM asking but thought I would see if this happened to anyone else. All plugs were put back exactly as they were removed and I do not get any warning lights on the dash except at startup. All suspensions modes also work normally. The light only comes on at startup and is easily cleared. Nothing else seems out of the ordinary except the initial message.

I did not unplug the battery during install. Could this be the problem? Any thoughts or suggestions? I'm stumped.

Just for the sake of conversation because I have not done this and JusticePete will look after you.
But did you install shorter pushrods for the suspension sensors?

No shorter pushrods. Read in another thread that they figured out those we're not needed. It was a response directly from Pete.

I am sure Pete will get back to me as soon as he is able. Until then, I'll just press clear!

Are the connections tight on the rear shocks? I know on my car the connector after being modified to fit onto the new spring was loose that caused the light.

We double checked and all the connections appeared tight, but I will check it out again today just to make sure.

Looking to install the same coils in my car...I think I'll wait to see what you find out first

Hopefully it's something simple...good luck figuring it out!

So I checked the plugs and they were all fine so I am guessing it's a pin issue. Tried to pull codes off the OBD II with a reader and the car came back clean- no codes at all. I'm thinking something is just a little bit loose because the suspension works fine and it's not throwing codes. It's not going to get fixed before the fest, but oh well.

when I did mine, I couldn't remember which wire went to what side of the plug. I guess I got it right, or maybe it doesn't matter, im not sure.

if the fest ever comes back to Georgia i'll be there. Cant make the haul around the country these days. Have fun there!!
