Making a V6 Lt Look like an SS
Hey guys I'm pretty new to 5th gens expecially the 2014-2015 with its face lift. I'm currently considering a fifth gen Lt with the RS package but I don't want to burn the extra gas with a SS so I was wondering what exactly it is I will have to change to make it appear as a SS. are the bumpers different between the two cars? Is the spoiler also different? Please help!

IMO get the SS if you want performance. I liked my V6, but it's a muscle car. V8 is where the muscle is at.
You can get addons to make your car look any way you want, just be ready to hand over your wallet. Please do not put a SS badge on a LT. We would be forced to take your keys away. |

Just take all the badges off and keep people guessing. The other thing is, you sound like you want the SS, so buy it and take it easy with your foot and you will have no problem with gas mileage. The V6 can suck the gas just as bad as the V8 if you drive it the same way.

This is true...I work with a guy that bought a v6 with the rs package. Now another Co worker asked me about my car. He's looking at getting a v6. I can honestly say both guys love the look of the camaro.....they don't know how to tell if the car is a v6 or v8 and really don't seem to care. I think this is the attitude of your average car owner these days.

With that being said...it is our job to educate him on the do's and don'ts of the 5th Gen and maybe we help create another great contributing member. We shouldn't be so quick to label someone a troll.

You probably do want to burn the extra gas. A lot easier to put gas in the car rather than do all that work you're talking about.

Your right. What was I thinking to respond to this repeated V6 V8 crap.

Add up all the parts you're talking about buying, that would go a long way at the gas pump. And then add up what you'll lose when you realize you want a V8 in a year or two and trade this one in.
Cheaper to just buy what you really want the first time.
