Technically yes. They must not have seen it or just ignored it.

They collect the oil. And it isn't burnt off in the engine. Im sure it has something to do with it.

I think most smog places wouldn't know.

It's an aftermarket modification to the PCV system, and therefore requires CARB approval.

Simple as that. Would it get CARB certified if a company tried? I'm sure they'd have no problem, unless they're saying it won't be maintained and eventually cause problems

Any smog tech who says or does otherwise is wrong, simple as that

This is why smog laws are lame as hell in this state. If it is not maintained it will do exactly the same thing as if it was not there at all, return oil vapor to be burned in the combustion chamber, causing valve coking, deposits, and oil burning pollution. Somethings I hate about this state and the CARB is one of them.

Question about your post: does this mean I don't need a carb sticker on my volant intake since it's excluded per executive order? Or...can I contact volant to see if they send me one, as I'm a dipstick and it got thrown out with the box.

Call and ask them to send you a sticker. Make sure it's easily visible wherever you install it.

Shorties...for 2014 ZL1

will any of these fit the 2014 ZL1 so that it can be carb approved.

Are any HP gains in doing this?

Peace.

My guess is they would fit, but the consensus generally seems to be shorties deliver negligible gains at most, and (IMO) aren't worth the cost of parts and labor.

If you are looking to spend some money on a CARB legal part, there's (oddly enough) a CARB legal CAI for the 2014 ZL1 only...

Not sure how it happened, but there it is.

Yeah...I've looked at it.
almost 1K for 25-358 hp gain

It's all carbon fiber.

If I had an extra $900 I'd do it.

I don't know many here that have installed it.

I guess it means that you want to keep her and not have to uninstall and reinstall every time the smog man comes around.

The crazy thing is it's only CARB for the 2014 ZL1.

If I could do a 10% off deal or something like that, it'd make it easier for a cheapo like me.
