2010 Camaro V6 7,000 rpm Clutch Dump

This video is to celebrate the 1 year anniversary on March 1st 2010 of taking delivery of my 2010 camaro. This video is also in the response of the burnout contest video Edmunds InsideLine did with the 2010 camaro ss, 2010 challenger, and the 2011 mustang gt. My goal was to beat the burnout distance of 72 ft 5.5 in. set with the supposedly new Ford saver 5.0L V8 engine. I accomplished that goal with a total burnout distance of 100 ft. Just like in the Edmunds video, my V6 camaro burned out longer in 1st gear alone then what the mustang did!!!!!!! Edmunds video:

P.S. i know this kind of thing isnt tolerated but this is to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of taking delivery and showing up the mustang.....the GT at that

actually yes it can hold up suprisingly, i have a confession. I actually did it twice. First time the tires lit up so much and the car really didnt have much forward momentum yet and i was in ah and wasnt focused on what i was doing and it was burning out and then the tires finally caught up and it hit 7 and maxed so i pushed the clutch in. 2nd time i was way more focused and this is the first time ive ever went all out in a manual ever, all the variables on knowing when the tires have caught up and when to shift and shifting as fast as possible. Ive still got some learning to do.

When I'm throwing away some tire life, I like to get around 4K and then ease the slack out of the drivetrain before letting the clutch all the way out quickly...Good times!

And great distance by the way!!!
