MSRP or Below dealer in Cali found

Found one, working on a deal now. Might be able to get one at fleet pricing if you don't need to be the first one to get it. If you're interested check out the msrp or below thread, and let me know. I'm trying to get at least 5 people that are buying a camaro. You don't need a deposit now, but come december ish, when we learn of the pricing I want to be able to go to this guy and say "hey, I have 6 people ready to buy a camaro as soon as you have allocation, Can we agree on a set price under the MSRP of the options we choose?" This deal would include whatever options you choose to take or pass on, it would just be a discount from the end price of your custom ordered camaro.

Just wanted to give you guys the heads up.

Sounds like the same thing but without a majority of the shipping cost. The deal would be whenever you buy the car, which is why it would work for my convertible as well.

That seems sweet but if scotty can get me the car for lower Id be cool with the $420 fee for the drop ship to my dealer. Its the same from any dealer so which ever gives me a better price.

Mindz, I'm definitly interested. I don't need to be the very first guy to drive mine off the lot. But would we be able to pick the specs that we would like?

You would be able to pick your specs. Basically, you'd customize the camaro to your liking, and then whatever the msrp of that model with those options would be the price you'd pay, or XXX dollars below that. The second IDL is coming up in October, and I can probably get one or two other people interested in to watch it if you guys want in. Lemme know.

Yeah this sounds great, Just keep me posted. What do you think the timeframe (that we would be able to recieve our Camaro's) would be after the initial release? It seems to me that the only reason dealers would do this is because it's guaranteed sales for them, no?

Doesn't mean you can't get in on it. the vert (one I'm getting) doesn't hit floors until june 2010 so you're in the same boat as me.

It seems that Sunny Southern California = Gouge your repeat customers.
Foothill Ranch Chevrolet is an absolute joke. I worked directly with the sales manager and placed one order on Saturday and my friend placed his on Sunday. Form / Verbal agreement to MSRP on Saturday, Story changed on Sunday... Owner of dealer spoke to sales manager and wanted to refund deposit and order. Says customers will pay market price, if markup you pay, if not that you dont pay mark-up. Absolutely unacceptable and a waste of time. with 100K production this isnt exactly a ZR1. Check the blogs for MSRP dealers in California, I hope that gougers get zero orders! Pay deposit and special order for a car that wont be available for 6 months isnt enough i guess!!
