P135A

Hi there,

I'm doing a LFX swap into Mazda RX8. The engine has 99% OEM harness. After all the installation the ecu throws one fault:

DTC P135A: Ignition Coil Supply Voltage Circuit Bank 1

The result is that the ecu cuts the injection for that bank (see pics attached).

We checked all the wiring and voltages, relays and fuses. Switched the coils from bank 1 to bank 2, same result bank 1 is not working. We have replaced the spark plugs and same result. When disconnecting coils, the ecu correctly shows faults for each coil disconnected (A, C, D respectively). The fuel pressure sensor is working correctly.

However if we spray fuel on the air filter the bank 1 starts to work properly.

Maybe anyone knows how does the ecu know that the ignition is working properly? Because it seems to be the problem - ignition seems to work properly but the ecu thinks it's not.

Any help would be appreciated. Peace.
