Its gotta stop somewhere. If I would have kept the 95. I would have left the 15 bolt on. A big cam sounds like fun. Last edited by GossipSquirrelJelena; 09-30-2018 at 10:47 PM. |

Never got past 11.2 with stock internals. I installed longer duration cams but by the time I figured out the perfect tune for them I broke. I was able to do 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds in only 3rd gear, the converter would stall to 5100 and it would go. The 6L50 is too weak to continue and there is no real aftermarket for the V6. |

Are you running a transbrake on your 2015? Wonder how much that will help with launching.

I also think I could have had fun challenging people to a race and telling them I would only use 3rd gear.

No trans brake here. I tried launching it. Like I did when it was n/a. (Flashing the converter to 3500) That was a disaster. Giant spin fest. And almost lost it. Tried rolling into the throttle from 1000rpms on the next run. 1.53 sixty. I don’t know anyone that has a transbrake in the 6r80 personally. The 3rd gear launch was surprisingly fast. In your. Ideo.

I’m not old but.... or at least I don’t think I am. My recent ZL1 build consists of a 2015 ZL1 A6. The factory engine was pulled and sold when the car was brand new. The new engine, stroked to 396ci started with an LSA block, Callie’s magnum crank Callies ultra Hbeam rods, Diamond pistons (10to1 CR). TrickFlow 255 heads ported and prepared by BTR, BTR stage3 blower cam, Johnson 2110 lifters. Magnuson Heartbeat 2300TVS blower direct ported for spray by Nitrous Outlet. Squash full return style fuel system with ID850 injectors. 1 7/8 Kooks long tubes with no cats and Corsa 3” exhaust. The drivetrain is stock except for a one piece aluminum DSS driveshaft. I still race the car at local tracks. It’s run 10.44@133mph on 91 octane pump gas. 9.98@138mph on VP109 race gas and 9.62@145 on race gas/ 150 shot of nitrous. I run a 17” Bogart race wheel setup with 305/45R17 Mickey Thompson ET street R radials. The car has been 60’ in the low 1.4’s since I had the rears beadlocked.

Hey Royal Tiger, looks good with the heritage grill. See you have some suspension mods also. Nice. Did you go with Koni yellows? Hello to my Canadian friend Rontammy0 also, even though he’s giving you a hard time about your 2.5” catback.

And a big hello to you as well. I'm just kidding with him. I was going to by that same catback until the Corsa Xtreme fell into my lap. But your right I like the setup now he has. The retro SS has always been a favourite of mine
