tire thoughts.......

my situation, i have 20x9 frt and 20x10 rear rim size. i put the factory p zero on originally but it is time for new tires. what tire size would you recommend for the mentioned rims.

other option would be, get rid of the 20x9, buy 20x11 for rear and run the 275/315 combo.

i would like to buy just new tires so i am interested in reading what other people suggest.

You can run a 305 in a 10,

You can run 305/35r20’s that has a good selection of tires.

remember you cannot vary away from more than .5" in size of the front and rear, so you have quit the options to choose from. Are you needing all season, track, DD, or what in tires you desire?

thinking about going with continental extreme contact DWS06. i don't track my car, just DD. didn't know this, but the guy at the tire shop i was at informed me that the pirelli pzero tire that comes from factory are run flats. the pzero stand for zero pressure. this is why we get no spare tire. he said i should consider a run flat tire as an option as well.

I don't think all the P Zeros are Run Flats. And that is NOT the reason you don't have a spare either. The 2SS tires are too big for a normal size spare, hence the inflater. The Continental tires are a great option and many on this forum run them as a DD. Extremely good in wet weather.

here is something else, i have the factory reproduction zl1 rims. i decided to order the 20x11 for the rear and put 315's on. as i was talking to the sales guy i mentioned my rear 20x10 are +35 offset. he told me not to use them up front and stick with the 20x9.

he went on to say the +35 offset would sit inside the fender to much and not look right in comparison to the rear. i realize it is my decision so........

anybody running 20x9 front and 20x11 rear and does it look o.k.

anybody running the 20x10 +35 up front and 20x11 rear, how does that look..

i know lots about hockey, maple syrup and cold weather, everything else i have to ask. thanks for the help..............

The closest I got to that set up is a 19x9.5 et 25 and 19x11 et 48. My set up looks nice and meaty.

What offset are you running on the 20x11 rears? Is the the et43 like the zl1’s as well? Those sit aggressively and will poke outside the fender a bit.

20x10 et 35 should fit the front from what I’ve read, but I’ve been wrong before.Depending on tire width you may have rubbing. When I type that size into an offset calculator, it says they will be a few mm different than mine on the outside.

I just put together a set of ZL1 "replicas" measuring 20"X10". I have decided on the square setup so that I can enjoy a little more mileage out of the tires. With the cost we of tires every extra mile is a savings. Yesterday I had the tires mounted and balanced, covered with Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 275/35/20. Was going to put them on the Camaro last evening but I noticed one wheel has ZERO weights from balancing? Not sure if it was an oversight or I lucked out and got a "perfect" setup which I doubt. Will take it back this morning for a double check, if open. On the car right now is a square setup in black, 2019 OEM wheels wrapped in the factory Goodyear run flats size 245/40/20. Can't wait for the new look and ride!

You can run a 20x10 on the front with the correct offset, I know, I am along with many others. The square setup that Deputy347 has is sweet. I am running 20x10 up front and 20x11 in the rear. I have a 285 up front and a 295 in the rear. Offset on the front is 23 and the rear is 43 on VS Forged wheels

i think i will try the 20x10 up front, i can't see a +35 offset being to much out of place looks wise. when i get a warmer day i will take one of my rear wheels off and swap with a front, my 10's have 275/40 on them now. its only a 12mm difference between offsets which is a bit less than 1/2'' how bad can that look.

why did you choose 295 on your rear over wider?

20x11 et43 salesman at FR said it would sit fairly flush with fender, although the guy's with those rims may say different. i would probably believe the guy who has them on a car over a salesman who possible doesn't.
