Gen5 "door lock status"

Working on finalizing my 70 Malibu restomod project where I'm merging most everything from a 14 Camaro SS, and I've run into a dead end. The "door lock status" is pin 4 on the driver's door connector and it is shown in the service manual as such, along with the "door ajar switch" on pin 6.

The door lock status pin on the driver's is the only place where that signal appears from; it is not found on the lock assembly/drawings for the passenger door.

The bad news is that I am not able to find the semantics for testing the "door lock status" circuit, unlike the "door ajar switch" which has detailed info for both the passenger and driver doors.

Looking through threads on this subject, there appears to be an overlap on the interpretation as to how the operation of the two circuits work.

Testing of the driver's door switches seems to imply that the "door lock status" is not simply a switch but provides data to the low speed bus.

Does anyone have any insight here? Or maybe someone has a searchable PDF that would be willing to share the appearances of "door lock status" (without the quotes) in any gen5 manual 2010-2015.

The pinout for both door locks can be found in volume 3 section 11-241.

Many thanks, Nick

In my 2013 manual, refer volume 1, section 4 body systems, 4-291 vehicle access. Send me private message with your e-mail address, if you need details, files, etc.

Thanks, just about to drive it out of the shop for the first time - need to let the engine warm up and check for leaks and to see if the idle smooths out. It started right up when I first started it but I never cleaned the injectors so there is probably some bad gas affecting the idle. Can't do that in my shop.
