Sell it because that is more than it is worth. You can then go buy a thousand rounds or more with $350

Blake...done and done! Sold it today through a broker. Ordered 1260 rounds of Yugo 7.62x39 for $219 plus shipping. Great deal!

If you don't already know, check to see if the ammo is corrosive or not. Bulk Yugo ammo usually is corrosive in my experience. I shoot my 7.62x39 through either 1 of 2 Polytech AKS/47 rifles -- and at around $2500 per rifle (NIB) I make sure they stay clean. Personally, I only use non-corrosive through them now.

Dog...
It is corrosive and I am firing through a Chinese SKS. Good cleaning (including the gas tube) and it seems to be fine. I do appreciate that insight though. You are spot on correct.

Question: is it wise to put what is in your collection on a public forum? I am not trying to be a smart ass, just want folks to think about what info they put out there. My .02

Sure why not? I have no problem showing serial numbers and license plates numbers either.

If you know where to go, you can get this information plus serial numbers already. All you need is their name.

You are correct sir. Handguns are no more than ten rounds. Also no "tactical" handguns i.e. threaded barrels.

"assault rifles" are also limited to ten round magazines. These magazines also have to be fixed. However, take an AR15 for example, if you remove some of the "evil features" of the gun (collapsible stock, pistol grip, foregrip) you can install what is called a monstergrip. This essentially replaces your pistol grip and gives you a rifle grip on your AR15. Configured in this manner, you can then use 30 round magazines that are detachable.

A "fixed" magazine is defined as a magazine that is machined into the receiver of the gun, welded in place, or requires the use of a tool to remove. The tip of a bullet, is defined as a "tool" in this case.

What we use in California for our AR15's is this handy item called a bullet button. This is installed in place of the magazine release button and prevents you from using your finger to eject a spent magazine. It requires you to insert the tip of a bullet (or screw driver, allen wrench) into the bullet button, and by doing this, ejects the magazine.

By using the bullet button, we are complying with California law, and can use ejectable magazines (limited to ten rounds), in addition to pistol grips, collapsible stocks, foregrips, etc......

otherwise we have to use the crappy monstergrip. Some people swear by those things though.

It's a crappy crappy deal, to have to put with that living in California, BUT it's better than not being able to use my AR15 at all.
