URGENT: Need engine oil / What is Dexos LOF ?
Hi guys!
I have my Camaro ZL1 (2014) here in Sweden now. Last time it was serviced was in Texas at Chevrolet, and on the receipt they list the lube oil as DEXOS LOF. Is that the same as Mobil 1 5W30? Oil is a bit low and I need to buy new oil to fill it up a bit but not sure what to top it off with?? Anyone knows what type of oil the Dexos LOF is? Will I be OK by buying the Mobil 1 5W30 lube oil to top it up a bit?

Mobile 1 is what a lot of people use. You can see the Dexos logo right below where it says 5W-30 http://www.gmdexos.com/owner/ |

You will be fine. Dexos LOF stands for Lube Oil Filter. Any oil that meets GM Dexos certification or spec is fine. Mobil 1 does and will work just fine.

Dexos is a synthetic blend, but don't be fooled into thinking that its 50/50.
