The biggest issue....issues I had with my Holley intake were the rails had not been machined properly to accent the o-ring fittings. So the o-ring got destroyed upon tightening....although it was only one end of each rail.
And with the cathedral ports...alignment was absolutely terrible. Plus the actual angle of the vee wasn't quite right too, although some brute force with a small scissor jack sorted that.

Really...it was crap. But it does still look good lol.
Must have been the old version. I had no fitment issues.

I need 4 feet of -8 ptfe hose, a Fore union to mount my fpr on the rail and ill be ready for break in. Parts in route.

If UPS would show up, I might have it running (using stock tb) this weekend.

102mm Snakeater TB will be here wednesday. Black DBW TB boost ready for $275 is a steal. Just gotta handle the tune, which I believe is just changing ETC Scalar to 7350.000 and possibly some more Base running airflow.
I’m waiting on the M’s. I’ll just turn up the boost if I need more power.

Good luck with the sniper low pro..... had to do quite a bit of finagling to get fittings and a MAP sensor on it.

Once again, you must have had the old version. They now come with a MAP sensor provision on the back of the intake (see pics). I had to extend the map sensor wires, and I just plugged the 3 small vacuum ports since I already have a vacuum block running off the brake booster line. Port alignment was perfect, all bolt holes lined up nicely. The throttle body placement only moved up about .75 inch, so I should be fine with my current piping.

I dont see the big problem. Its installed and ready to go...

Without sticking a borescope into the intake down the ports...you cannot see the alignment.

I did...it was awful !! lol Although the square port heads may well be a lot better.

Was that before or after you stretched it with a scissor jack?

Got my cheap TB and it looks great. The new blower will be black to match. Should have it running saturday if USPS comes through.

Before and after. Even after a lot of grinding and welding material in, I could only get mediocre alignment.

Although I doubt it really affects power anyway

I have to say I’m very impressed with your build up and tear down. What do you think she’ll make?

Hey man, been a while. With a piston/rod motor you could easily support 1000 with turbos. I wouldnt push that Aux pump past the 850ish area especially on E. But you're very handy with HP Tuners, so I'm sure you'll be keeping your eye on things. The last time I had the stock LS3 on the dyno I kept hitting some kind of speed limiter at 155mph which was only 6400rpm and 18#s of boost. It made 913/787. Once I got it home and fixed the tune it would rev out to 7000 and made 20.5psi. I'd estimate around 940-950. I took it apart a few passes later in good health.

I currently have the ESS Tuning G3X blower. People have made 1050+ on 376ci motors with this blower. I've given up some compression (10.3 now), but added some cubes and will need to break in the motor for 500 miles. If the G4 blower is not ready by that time, I will see if I can get 1100 out of this combo. ESS says we can expect 200-300 more HP out of the G4. However, I will have to watch the intake temps, and possibly add a meth kit to keep it cool. My goal is 1200-1300 at the tires.

Plus I'm sure I'll have to upgrade all the broken bits along the way. Trans, diff, axles, driveshaft, clutch. $$$$

Is the G3X comparable to the 2200r that ECS has, or does that surpass it? Are you upgrading your belt system at all?

Sounds like it is bigger than the current Vortech or Paxton "small" range.

Vortech is sort of lacking a next stage over the YSi really, but fitting the same bracketry.
