Okay took car to shop where they do the expel wrap. $175 to $250 depending on cost of wrap. That price is wrap and installation.

i wonder why gm did not /still not paint the hood black.
it does not match the mirrors and spoiler..

I've run into issues with my wrap as well. Chips will eventually turn into larger tears and therefore you will need to rewrap it. I think wrap is the way to go, as some others said, it is a signature detail to the 1LE.

Unfortunately, my hood was definitely not painted underneath - it had been sprayed with a black sealer and that was it.

This created a ton more work as we had to prep/paint AND re-wrap the hood. Not fun.

That is the first I have heard of that...weird!
