In warm temps like this, it aint going to happen.

I know of 3 V6's that ran at the FEST. I have photos of thier passes and times. I will post them later this week.

I had just started the car up for the first time at noon and raced it that night. DA was 2500+ during the runs. Here is a video of the 4 runs I made, along with the DA:

For sure the 60' is killing the pass. However changing the stagging and leaving on the3rd yellow is not the issue. R/T is improved when leaving on that yellow. Which will not change the time.

I had those same tires at one time. You need to heat them up similiar to a drag radial. Better yet, get some drag radilas. The problem is you are spinning.

Leave all the nannies on with the stock tires. IF you get a set of D/R's you can turn the nannies off.

Just a matter of practicing the launch and leave.

I have my nannies off with street tires and do not spin at take off. Heat them up but about the staging...

If you stage as shallow as possible, then you will be rolling better at 60. ET starts when you leave so having a little rolling start does help. This is typically the difference in a 2.2-2.1 60 for me.

Thanks, I will try both ways next time out.

as for spinning and nannies, every track is differant in how they are prepped. My home track is bad for traction. So nannies are on with street tires and off with D/R's

I have noticed when nannies are on that it limits rpm stall?

I shallow stage most of the time, but I will try to warm up my tires next time. I know the time I did a 2.2 60' was when I did a quick tire spin. I drive around the water box also. That day the track was pretty clean, it had rain for 2 days prior to us racing.

Last race out I have 3 slips (didn't feel like digging through the whole pile) that are all 2.18x 60', stock BFG tires on LS wheels... Small burnout just to clean them off (or... One of them off LOL), flooring it from an idle just after the second yellow lights up, and cutting consistent .0xx lights. Best of the night was a .003 r/t. I stage as shallow as possible.

Must be those awesome 2.92 gears I'm sporting.

I've noticed that at my home track, nannies off is your best bet. Track prep is so bad that it causes the car to spin so badly that traction control cuts power to the wheels. That causes the car to fall on its face badly for a split second costing valuable time. So I think the nannies on or off choice depends on the track.

Have you tried launching at a lower rpm? Anything above 1500 rpm for me and I blow the tires off the car. So I launch at 900-1100 rpm

track prep in MD is a pretty big deal since there are so many fast cars out this way.
