[QUOTE=springer-;9872473]That was helpful, I didn't realize the EPS module was built in. Now I understand the end of the motor is actually the EPS modules.

In the picture below #1 comes from the sensor on the steering box (encoder)

#2 I thought was a typical encoder but based on your post that is the EPS Module?

#3 Is the connector I am most interested in. Does anyone have the pin out for it? Edit, After looking at the pictures more closely I see the pins for "K43", pins 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9 are for the CAN busses. Leaving 5 and 10 most likely for power. Looking for the pin out of 5 and

I can get you those pinouts later this morning. Coffee first. And I have a set of those connectors if you need them.

You will find that encoder is actually a torque transducer I believe. I have torn them down and it does look like a torque transducer.

If you have a connector that would be great. It would help me identify which pin is #1. Pin 5 is most important now so I can do a little testing.

The pictures you posted are extremely helpful. I have a much better understanding of how it works now. I might even try to work in a few of the sensors for speed an wheel angle.

EPS operation is dependent on information coming through the high speed can bus to increase and decrease assist based on vehicle speed and I believe other variables. I have zero experience in a stand alone installation and will be watching and learning with you.

Hopefully he had a bunch of time to work on it during the covid lockdown?
