Launch 2nd gear grinding noise

my car occasionally grinds 2nd gear when I’m taking off in traffic. I take off in 2nd. When it grinds I clutch in, and it almost seems like the gear selector was stuck only halfway in the 2nd gate? I’m not too sure what’s all inside the shifter assembly but I’m thinking it’s a stiff spring or maybe the lever is getting caught on something in there. Feel free to chime in with your thoughts and questions

Not sure of the answer to your question, but why are you starting in second? Or do you mean going from first to second? If you always start in second then maybe that's the answer
